St Leonards-on-Sea & the South Coast

An East Sussex design studio with London-sized experience.

The studio is in St Leonards-on-Sea. The work behind it comes from a decade in London design teams — so local businesses get national-standard design without a London agency between us.

Happy Hour Studio is a graphic design studio in St Leonards-on-Sea, East Sussex, working with businesses, charities, galleries and cultural organisations across Hastings, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Brighton, Rye and the wider South Coast, as well as London and UK-wide clients.

Who it's for

  • Independent East Sussex businesses — shops, cafés, makers, food and drink — needing brand identity, packaging and print.

  • Galleries, festivals and cultural venues along the South Coast needing campaign and exhibition design.

  • Local charities and community organisations who need clear, warm fundraising and awareness material.

  • Founders and practitioners nearby who'd rather sit down with their designer than never meet them.

What a project includes

  1. 01

    Meeting locally

Coffee in St Leonards or Hastings to start, and easy in-person reviews for anyone along the coast.

  2. 02

    Design that travels

The same standard of work I made for national institutions, scaled sensibly to a local budget and audience.

  3. 03

    Print done properly

Advice on paper, finishing and printers, with artwork supplied ready for press so nothing goes wrong at the last step.

  4. 04

    A long-term hand

Most local clients come back for the next thing, so the brand stays consistent as the business grows.

Common questions

Which areas do you cover?
Hastings, St Leonards, Bexhill, Eastbourne, Rye, Brighton and the wider South Coast — plus London and remote clients anywhere.
Do you take on small local jobs?
Yes. Menus, signage, a single piece of print — small projects are welcome and quoted honestly.
Can we meet in person?
Happily. Being nearby is one of the nicer parts of working locally.

Nearby and need a designer?

You don't need a finished brief or a fixed budget to get in touch. If something's on your mind, that's enough to start.
